I just blogged about my first time to cook lasagna, I didn’t think anyone would be interested with the pizza, but a handful of people seemed to be. So, I decided to share how I prepared the chicken pizza I served the kids for our New Year’s eve meal.

Using chicken for the pizza was actually accidental. I forgot to get pepperoni from the supermarket, and when I checked the refrigerator, I found chicken. Fortunately for me, the kids loved it!

So, enough of me blabbing, here’s how you can make chicken pizza for your kids!

Chicken Pizza Recipe

Thin crust store-bought pizza dough (or you can make one if you know how. I plan to learn how to make dough from scratch soon)
White onions, sliced
Green bell peppers
Jolly pieces and stems mushrooms by Fly Ace Corporation
Quick-melt cheese, grated
Chicken, boiled and shredded (If you’ve got some leftover grilled chicken, that will do, too!)
Pizza sauce

How to make the pizza:

1. Generously spread pizza sauce on the dough.
2. Add pieces of sliced onions and green bell pepper according to taste.
3. Scatter a generous amount of shredded chicken.
4.  Add mushrooms.
5. Top with a generous amount of grated cheese.
6. Bake in a 400 F preheated oven for 20 minutes or so.
7. Serve.

There you go. Easy peasy! My kids loved it and I’m sure yours will, too. And when you come to think of it, it’s a healthier alternative.

They might take out the onions, but that’s okay. I add the onions and the bell peppers for myself anyway.

Go ahead and enjoy a pizza meal with your kids!

Filipinos should have oven in their kitchen aside from stove top. Baking is fun and children love it! They can all play with the ingredients and sometimes come up with new flavors.

The only pizzas I ever ate only have cheese and tomatoes on them so I can not say anything about chicken pizzas. However, I think your instructions are clear, easy to understand and do. Keep enjoing your pizzas!

yes they can be pricey, alright. this is fun, but I don’t mind getting myself yellow cab’s dear darla or shakey’s thin crusted manager’s choice from time to time. :)

Wah I’m drooling over the pictures already (maybe I’m just hungry heh heh). Actually why not use fresh mushrooms which are healthier?

    1. May De Jesus-Palacpac Avatar

I agree, fresh mushrooms are healthier than canned ones. But they ran out of button ones when I went to the supermarket. Jolly is brand I’ve known for a while, so I got that instead. ;)

I tried one chicken pizza in California during my first US trip. They used grilled chicken breast and barbeque sauce. Not sure what else was used but it was heaven. You might want to give it a try :-D

    1. May De Jesus-Palacpac Avatar

Oh that’s how they make chicken pizza in CPK, the resto. It happens to be a favorite in my teenage years. Maybe when I find a chance, I’ll do the grill thing. :)

      1. Liz A Avatar

For some reason,i haven’t ordered pizza at CPK during those few time that i went there. LOL!

        1. May De Jesus-Palacpac Avatar

Believe it or not, that chicken pizza was the only thing I’ve eaten there. I dunnow why. We frequented that place back then, but I haven’t tried anything else except their iced tea, haha.
